About cookies and how they are used

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer when you browse a website in order to process and identify usage data. The cookie file is usually extremely small and does not contribute to the depletion of the physical space of the hard disk. Cookies are recorded on the disc to "remember" the areas of the website that are visited. This option saves time, allowing you to reach more readily the areas of a site you previously visited.

There are different kinds of cookies:

  1. Permanent which remain on the hard drive, even after you close your browser;
  2. Temporary or session cookies, which are saved only for the navigation session and are deleted from the computer when you close your browser;
  3. Third-party, generated by a website other than the one you are currently visiting.

The cookies used by MFE are a combination of these three types.

A cookie does not identify the user. Generally, it records information about the navigation on the site (pages visited, date and time of consultation) which can be read during subsequent visits in order to have a faster access to site content.

Google Analytics

MFE uses Google Analytics to analyze the use of this website. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are stored on users' computers, to generate statistical and other information about website use. Google Analytics also creates reports about the use of the website. Google will store and use this information. This data indicates exclusively and anonymously how our website is used, and what areas and sessions are of most interest to visitors. Google's privacy policy is available at http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html.
